And I also admit I'm one of those scary screaming fan girls. And before you go on with your bourgeois-isms about how Twilight is so teenage let me tell you something; I am a teenager. And quite frankly, I don't care if you dislike Twilight. I understand if you're a male and you dislike Twilight because you’ve realized you will never live up to Edward or even Jacob for that matter. But if you are a girl, and haven't even given the series a chance, and are just saying how uncool Twilight is to sound cool, I find you insecure.

Besides what is there not to love? Hot vampires, gorgeous boys in the soaking rain (did I mention without tee-shirts?), graphically amazing werewolves, Miss Dakota Fanning playing a role that is not so pretentious, and an amusing maniacal Michael Sheen. What more do you really want? Yes I agree, I wished we could have seen more of the dazzling Edward too, but the director was just following the book’s plot line faithfully. I know I know. Jasper should have just controlled his blood thirsty urges so Edward could have stayed. But he didn’t, jerk. And I know you are upset that Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen didn’t look nearly as good as he did in the first film, but be thankful that Taylor Lautner/Jacob Black was there as a replacement. And not only did I think Kirsten Stewart/Bella Swan (er…Cullen) looked way prettier in this film, I also thought her acting greatly improved too. We no longer see her awkward mannerisms and her tendency to stroke her hair in distress. So, darlings go and see it. Laugh and smile, love Edward but secretly crush on Jacob too!

P.S. My friend invited me too a Twilight Convention where I get to see and talk to Peter Faccinelli/Carlisle Cullen. Jealous much?

The play went well and was a joy to be a part of; my favorite part was either the audience’s laughter or wearing headsets similar to Britney Spears as a stage manager. Besides the play, I was also extremely busy going to glitter conventions, trying on faux fur coats (buying one too), and staying at one of my best friends house for four days.

Anyways, I was sitting in my kitchen yesterday, no doubt exhausted from the weeks parties and labors, staring at a certain picture frame. Well, not so much the picture frame itself, but more of what was within the frame - a map of the London underground. My mum, a raised Brit herself, thought we ought to memorize it now because it would be 'extremely useful' for when we 'move back to England.' However, I have never lived in England, so I don't see how we would be moving back to England....but out of curiosity I asked her wear she lived and where the youth hung out. That got her talking about the punks, beatnicks, Sloane rangers, prepsters, and rave scenes. And that led me to think about this spread from Vogue UK.

This spread features some of the most iconic British models, including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Donaldson, and Stella Tennant. All clad in Britain’s most famous designers, rocking different typically British subculture styles and eccentricities.

I can just imagine myself in some of these outfits and then I remember – I am not Princess Diana, nor a Jagger girl, or even a Kate Moss look-alike. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the though. Lots of love darlings, must finish go homework!

This will have to be a brief post because I have to shower and finish a school paper. But before I do that I just wanted to share some pictures and article pieces of the beautiful Lara Stone.

In the next issue of Vogue UK, you will all be able to read about Lara’s journey in the modeling industry these last ten years, her alcoholism issues, her rehab stint, and general view on life. Here is a few excerpts from the article:

(About food) “If I could have the discipline to be super-skinny, I would be. I think of dieting, and then I eat pizza. I’m a woman, end every woman wants to be skinnier – unfortunately.”
(About her future) “I lie in bed at night and worry about what comes next, I’m not sure I have any other talents.”
(She doesn’t wear designers she doesn’t like) "I shouldn't be wearing these shoes. Because I hate the designer and never wear people I hate."
(Move out of her way at shows!) "I kept saying 'Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me,' because I had to get to the catwalk, but she just kept posing. So I pushed her. It was only a few stairs."
(She’s mean to men) I figure out what they hate most, and then I do lots and lots of that."
(On drugs) "I'd already tried everything in Holland. Anyway, I never wanted to be that model on drugs, the sort who gives head for a line of coke."
(Her teeth) “Now every time I go to the dentist they always say, 'you really need to fix that gap of yours' I'm like, my gap is paying your dentist bills.”

At first, from reading this I thought she sounded like a moody little insecure diva. But I read the whole article at FashionSpot and really fell in love, she seems actually genuine. I suggest you read it too or purchase the magazine once it comes out!

I must warn you I probably won’t be able to post all this week, because it is tech week for my school play and I’m a stage manger a.k.a part of production crew. Tech week means that there are lengthy practices everyday, all week, with lights, hair, makeup, and props. Anyways, hope you have a lovely end to your weekend!

I loved reading and replying, even though some questions were quite a bit obscure.

1.      What do you want to do with you life? Well, that’s an interesting question. I would like to graduate from Oxford University with a degree in journalism. Then I’d like to become a respected journalist and work for ELLE or British Vogue, and move to heart of London. I’ll live vivaciously; stop all the sadness in this world and end up kind of unforgettable.
2.      Are you religious? If so what religion? No, I am not religious. Though I do go to a Catholic school, but I have shifted my beliefs from a Christian to an Agonistic to an Atheist. I prefer to believe in something that won’t let me down, like myself.
3.      Besides the Beatles what other bands do you like? What do you think of modern music? Besides The Beatles I like; David Bowie, Tom Petty, MGMT, Franz Ferdinand, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Oasis, The Cure, The Killers, and various other indie, rock and pop groups. I am not a music snob (though others may disagree) so I don’t exactly shun “modern music,” I just like good music.

4..      Favorite movies? Titanic, Romeo+Juilet, Moulin Rouge, Sweeney Todd, Casino Royale, Help!, The Breakfast Club, Music and Lyrics, Harry Potter, ect.
5.   Favorite designer/style? I have three favorite design houses; Chanel, Stella McCartney, and Chloe. These three houses are actually all linked to each other because both Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld designed for Chloe. I love Chanel for its classic glamour, I love Stella for designing what women want to wear, and I love Chloe for holding all the imagination of the 60’s-70’s vibe.
6.   What would you do with a pencil, camera, and mirror? I would throw the pencil and mirror at you, and take a picture.
7. Do you want to be in the fashion industry when you grow up? Certainly.
8. Do you prefer vintage or new clothes? Don’t have a preference, I like to mix and match!
9.      What do you like in a guy? Uhh, uncomfortable question, I like guys to be amusing, brave, and sweet. My standard would be a mixture of Edward Cullen and Harry Potter, with a hint of Paul McCartney and Chuck Bass.
10. How old are you and why can’t we see your face? To preserve my anonymity I can’t give you my age, but I am a teenager and you are going to have to trust me on this one. You will probably also never see my face on the internet because of my rightfully protective father, sorry.
11. Do you like flats or heels? I like both, but I prefer heels. Heels give me a sense of belonging and superiority, no matter how hard they hurt.

12. What are your political views? What are Well, unfortunately, I am not of the age to vote yet. But if I had been eighteen last year, I would have voted for Barack Obama. However, I am not fully a democrat or fully a republican. You could call me a moderate democrat. I believe that gay/lesbians relationships should have equal rights to different-gender relationships, that everyone should have the right to an abortion, and that healthcare is a right not a privilege.
13. What is your favorite scene from a movie or book? Tough question, I have tons. I love when Leonardo strokes Kate’s hand as he slowly dies from hypothermia (Titanic), I adore when Edward cuddles Bella in a field of flowers (Twilight – book version), I crack up when Meryl Streep puts Anne Hathaway in her rightful place on the fashion totem pole – the bottom (Devil Wears Prada), I feel warm inside when Ewan McGregor display his beautiful voice by serenading Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge), my heart cries for Harry when he loses Sirius (Harry Potter 5), and my inner rebel yells when Tom Cruise walks in with his leather jacket on (Top Gun).
14. What’s on your Christmas list? Currently; a new laptop, Beatles Rock Band, Doc Martens, and The Kinks greatest hits CD.
9. What’s your favorite item(s) of clothing from your closet? My leather jacket, pink heart sunglasses, bubble skirt, Navajo sweater, and 70’s floppy hat. These items make me feel like a character in my own movie.
10. Do you have regrets? If so what are they? I have plenty of regrets, but I would never tell you them.
16. Do you live in the country or in the city? Which do you prefer? I live in the city of Seattle, and most definitely prefer the city. I would give up all my Beatles CD’s (actually…) to stay living in the city.

17. Do you think there is a point to our lives? Honestly, I’m just a teenager, but I think so. If there wasn’t a point wouldn’t we all be comfortably numb in a spanse of black velvet?
18. What is your favorite holiday/ place to travel to/ and band? My favorite Holiday Is Christmas because everyone is so pleasant and giving. My favorite place to travel to is Europe, more specifically Italy and Spain. And obviously my favorite band is The Beatles.
19. What would you wear to dinner with cannibals? I would wear a vintage Chloe dress, those sky high tribal Louis Vuitton heels from last year, and boho beaded bangles (seriously what kind of question is this?).
20. What would you do with ripped tights? A. throw them away. B. rip them more. C. add sparkles and crystals to them like Cocorosa.
21. Where is the magic land? Two stars to the left and straight on till morning.
22. Do you bake? What should I bake for dinner dessert tonight? I have feeble skills at baking, but you should make a lemon cake and crème brulee (if it can be baked).
23. What is the meaning to life? Goodness we are getting deep, there are three possible answers; 43, seven levels, and 8 ounces. You can decide which one is correct J

I adore Stella’s soft colours, boyfriend silhouettes, and charming take on fashion – and all this is available at GAP for a lower price. Now I understand many of you must be thinking, ‘that’s all good and well but I can’t fit into kids clothing, what do you think I am? Ten?’ No, I don’t think you’re ten, and if you are well done you, but there is a purpose to this post. A. If you are 1-12 yrs old pull out your allowance money pronto! B. If you’re a mother start ushering your children out the door, you have some shopping to do! C. If you are slender or just a few years off 12 you can go shopping too! If you look for the XL and XLL I’m sure youll be able to fit snugly into one of her classic Sgt Pepper jacket’s, and at just $50 it’s worth it!

Stella really had designed an adorable line for the mini fashionistas soul. With bodysuits, colourful cashmere cardigans, leopard prints, graphic band tees, classic peacoats, practical trenches and macs, childish sneakers, cable knit sweaters, flared and skinny jeans, tutu’s, ruffled smocks dresses…ect. Her collection sounds like my dream closet, full of nostalgia and imagination. So, come tomorrow I will definitely be heading down to my local GAP and enjoy squeezing into clothing that probably won’t fit me, if it doesn’t I’m going on a diet. At first I giggled, we haven’t had Thanksgiving or even Halloween yet. But as she described the joy of new fleece pajamas, gusty winds, frosted car windows, and the fresh scent of Christmas cookies I lapsed into a holiday state. And the moment she mentioned what she was thinking about getting for her mom, I thought of the perfect idea; a Christian Louboutin champagne flute.

The story is that Louboutin felt the need to hark back to the days when “Le Rituel” was preformed. “Le Rituel” was an event where French male aristocrats displayed their love and compassion for a woman by drinking from the heel on her foot. The joke is that now men are so unreliable and immature that you have to get your girlfriends to drink to you. But of course your girlfriends get to drink in style, in a 5.5 inch red soled Slovenian crystallized pump. So what do you think girls, remarkable or ridiculous?

As a general rule I don’t suggest investing in “trend items” because they are quite literally “trend items” that will fade and go out of style quickly. However, you asked and I am willing to gush over ten trends that will loosen your wallet. Enjoy!

The Print Dress: From Alexander McQueen and Rodarte to Mary Katrantzoua and Christopher Kane, every designer has been featuring an eccentric print. If you need to spark up your dreary winter wardrobe or to add a spice to a repeat outfit, this is your remedy. Also dresses are multi-functional because you can wear them as a shirt, as a top over pants, or as well a dress. Imagination is your only limitation darlings!

Military Influences: One would think girly-girl fashionistas and the military have nothing in common, but you’re wrong. Michael Jackson (I understand he isn’t exactly a girl but…) proved that anything can be fashion and popularized the military jacket. I have already fulfilled purchasing this trend at Forever21 myself. The military jacket is available at low-end stores like Forever21 and at high-high-end store brand stores like Balmain.

Leather Hot Pants/Shorts: Alexander Wang and Chloe are big advocates of this trend and have a right to be. You can just slip on a pair next to your dainty blouses and transform yourself into the next Erin Wasson. While others may give you what they think are knowing stares as you walk down the street, don’t be afraid to try this trend. The semi-limited amount of fashionistas in the street will recognize your inner style and give you a smile. By wearing a pair you are promoting dressing well – think about it if we all made an effort to promote style then no sad little girls would be leftover wearing Crocs in this world.

The Ice skate: Before you read on I must say that many of you will be highly skeptical of this shoe. But with all it-shoes it, it’s slightly androgynous and certainly out of the ordinary. The silver metal bottom and the five inch heel make it a must have. It retails from Acne for about $600, if that isn’t exactly in your price range I hear Jeffrey Campbell is making a respectable version for $150ish.

Faux Fur Vest: The latest style is faux fur which is both eco friendly and fashionable. In fact I just got one myself yesterday and am very excited to wear it with a variety of clothing mediums. That one purchase has made me 100% more bohemian hipster, and I think it could do the same for you!

Under-wear as Outer-wear: One of my most personal favorite new trends initiated by John Galliano’s couture collection for Dior. I just got a light pink corset yesterday; however, my loving father isn’t too excited about my teenage soul wearing it. But you, my fabulous reader can pull out your lacy, silky, and shiny under things to incorporate to your everyday wardrobe.

His father inquired about the state of the blog, I started to blush and nearly role my eyes – my father has been telling nearly everyone I have a blog and its getting embarrassing. The reason I started this blog was to have free expression, but now all my dads’ friends and family are reading my every thoughts. I understand he is doing this because he is proud of me, but now I can’t go on about the anguish and sorrows of my teenage life in great extent. My friend’s dad suggested I slowly push the limit on what I can write until my parents feel the need to stop me. I smiled, that’s not how it works in my family. Then he suggested I write whatever I feel like as long as I’m passionate about it, and then they would understand. This seemed like a good idea, but then it dawned on me that I’m not passionate about anything.

Except maybe The Beatles. The most commercially and critically successful band of all time, wow do I sound superficial. But I can’t help it, instead of searching for my passion I’ll let it come to me. Meanwhile I’ll stick with my boys. They are funny, insightful, charming, and the most handsome men in the history of the world. I don’t think I can explain their aura properly, anytime they would walk into a room or strike a pose people instantly fall in love. They lure you in and there is no backing out of it and you want to know everything about them.

And you could say I do know everything about them. Since the sixth grade spring break I have made it my mission too find out all the facts, decipher all the songs, and read between the rumors. My calendar is marked up with their birthdays, important days, and John’s and George’s death day. Infact my calendar is even a Beatles calendar. My walls are covered in their smiling faces, their stoned faces, and their thoughtful faces. I have a mini library worth of Beatles picture books, Beatle biographies, and Beatle magazines. My closet has a section of just Beatles apparel, bags, and pins. My desk is littered in Beatle postcards. Stacks of Beatle/Wings/Lennon/Harrison/McCartney records fill our living room and all their songs occupy my iPod. Half the quotes I know (and that’s a lot) are derived from their brilliance. They opened my mind up to fashion, music, and ideals of the Sixties and anytime before the 2000's. I owe everything to them. And I owe this little qoute to them " I've got to admit it's getting better, a little better all the time, it can't get no worse, I have to admit it's getting better, it's getting better." It’s safe to say Danny is a natural, he draws loads of pictures and posts them each day on his blog Igor + Andre. He draws everything related to fashion - from daunting models, inspiring bloggers, to popular celebrities. His work has been featured in many magazines including Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Vogue, and Oxygen. Also reproductions of his pictures can be purchased online at his blogstore. Or you could buy tee shirts with his artwork from Harajuku Lovers. Needless to say, he is brilliant and certainly someone worthy of your visit to his site. And if you like his work you will also like Garance Dore’s another fashion artist, so do check them out!
